three and a half

Brode has an upcoming surgery that requires anesthesia, therefore we had to have a pre-surgery physical to make sure he was all set to go! He was 3 and 1/2 in March so this was a nice little check over since his 3 year check up.

He is always entertaining at the doctor because he has been to so many. He knows the routine by heart and always wants to impress them how he gets on and off the scale, stands tall against the wall, takes deep breaths when they listen to his lungs, and tell them he is doing ok when they check his ears. After each one he turns around and looks at me "did you see that, I did it!"

We have been in a few times since his 3-year check up for strep throat and such, but not a full physical. He now weighs 35.2 lbs (have I mentioned how LONG he was stuck at 29lbs!), and 39 and 3/4 inches long meaning he has grown 2 inches in the past 6 months. All of his gained weight went into his height because he is still skinny as can be. He sits in the 63% for height and 59% for weight. Perfect. He was always high in height, low in weight so they finally equaled out.

His entire check went well and all of our pre-screening paperwork for surgery is ready to go!

This was him after stopping at the credit union for a sucker. (It is bright and blurry - trying to get that replaced!) I don't know where the 'gansta' pose came from, but he has been breakdancing lately too. Oh no.
